THE ROLE Our client, a luxury custom jewelry brand, is seeking a talented and highly organized Custom Jewelry Production Lead to manage the execution of bespoke jewelry production while acting as a key liaison between leadership, design, vendors, and clients. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in fine jewelry production and a strong understanding of high-end materials and craftsmanship.
While this role interfaces with marketing and PR teams, both internal and third-party agencies, it is not responsible for marketing execution. Instead, the focus is on providing accurate, timely production-related information and imagery to support storytelling, content development, and brand consistency.
This is a high-impact role that will play a central part in maintaining the brand’s reputation for exceptional quality, personalized client service, and smooth operational flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the end-to-end production of custom and bespoke jewelry pieces, ensuring timely delivery and impeccable quality
Collaborate with clients to interpret and refine their design vision into executable concepts
Oversee communication with vendors, CAD designers, and bench jewelers to maintain production standards and timelines
Translate design direction into actionable production steps through CAD files or hand sketches
Liaise with internal marketing team and third-party agencies to provide necessary production assets and product details for campaigns, events, and promotions
Support sales team with accurate product information, inventory status, and digital assets for client presentations and proposals
Maintain up-to-date production documentation, image libraries, and custom order tracking
Participate in trunk shows, trade events, and private client appointments to provide production knowledge and logistical support
Coordinate visits to Downtown LA production vendors and ensure alignment across all external partners
Ensure the brand’s quality, service, and visual standards are upheld across all production touchpoints
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
4–6 years in fine or luxury jewelry production, with hands-on experience managing custom pieces from start to finish
Experience working directly with CAD designers, vendors, and manufacturing teams
Familiarity with luxury-level service standards and high-ticket custom jewelry
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Product Development, or a related field preferred
GIA certifications (e.g., Jewelry Design & Technology, Graduate Jeweler) a plus
Technical & Business Skills:
Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, ZBrush) and production tracking systems
Solid understanding of gemstones, precious metals, and the custom jewelry process
Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and with high-end clientele
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or project management tools
Soft Skills:
Highly detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through
Calm under pressure and comfortable managing multiple timelines
Strong interpersonal and client-service skills with a polished, professional demeanor
Collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
WORKING CONDITIONS & LOCATION
Location: Onsite in the Greater Los Angeles Area (Confidential)
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Must be onsite 3–4 days per week
Occasional evenings/weekends during trunk shows or special events
Weekly visits to Downtown LA vendors as needed
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$60,000 - 100,000 base salary based on experience
